BOARD BRIEFS
The Fairview Board of School Directors held a special
public board meeting on October 23, 2006, and took action on
the following matters:
- Accepted the minutes of the board meetings held on
September 25, 2006, and October 9, 2006.
- Approved budgetary transfers for 2006/07.
- Approved the Treasurer’s Report for September, 2006,
as well as the Capital Reserve Report, the Cafeteria
Report, District Retirement Benefit Account, and the
high school and middle school activity accounts.
- Approved bills payable through October 19, 2006.
- Approved the Administrators’ Goals for 2006/07.
- Approved the Title I after-school tutoring position
for Grades 1-4.
- Approved the newsletter printing quotes to Printing
Concepts, the recommended low bidder meeting
specifications, at a total cost of $1,598, and layout
and design fees to Makdesign in the amount of $200. These
costs will be offset by $500 from Coldwell Banker –
The Marsh Team.
- Approved the softball uniform quotes from Erie Sports
Store, the recommended low bidder meeting
specifications, at a total cost of $3,045.
- Approved facility use requests with rental fees
to be waived as follows:
--Fairview Parks and Recreation – Winter 2006/07
schedule (custodial fees will be waived for the wrestling
tournament)
--Music Boosters rummage and bake sale with custodial
fees to be charged for Saturday, November 11, 2006
--Fairview Parks and Recreation tumbling meet
- Approved a before-school monitor position for Fairview
Middle School.
- Approved a floating coach for the swim team.
- Approved the spring softball trip.
- Approved the ACCESS funds budget for 2006/07.
- Approved the list of personnel matters as well as the
substitute lists.
