BOARD BRIEFS

The Fairview Board of School Directors held its annual public reorganization meeting on December 5, 2005, and took action on the following matters:

• Re-elected Laura Symes as President and Jim Breckenridge as Vice President for 2006
• Authorized a signature plate for the board president and a surety bond in the amount of $100,000
• Set the following dates and time for the public business meetings for 2006:




January 23, 2006	July 17, 2006
February 27, 2006	August 21, 2006
March 27, 2006	September 25, 2006
April 24, 2006	October 23, 2006
May 24, 2006	November 20, 2006
June 26, 2006	December 4, 2006 (Reorganization)

Time of meetings: 7:30 p.m. Location: Fairview Middle School

• Accepted the minutes of the November 21, 2005, public board meeting
• Approved the list of personnel matters as recommended by the superintendent
• Appointed Barbara Holman as board representative to I.U. #5 to fill the remaining term of Rich Unkle, which ends June 30, 2008
• Approved the bills payable as contained in the packet
• Approved the revised Section 125 Plan documents that include a grace period of 2-l/2 months after year end during which participants can draw down any prior year balance
• Approved to purchase baseball uniforms and jackets from Erie Sport Store at a cost of $5,584.50. This purchase has been budgeted.
