BOARD BRIEFS

The Fairview Board of School Directors held a special public meeting on

December 15, 2003, and took action on the following matters:

·        Accepted the minutes of the public reorganization and business meeting of 12/3/03

·         

·        Bills payable and payroll for December,  2003, were approved

·        Approved the Treasurer’s Report for November, 2003

·        Approved the list of personnel matters which can be viewed at the Central Administration Office from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

·        Approved three change orders pertaining to the high school project—G-2  with a deduct of $950, G-3 with an add-on of $1,063, and P-6 with an add-on of $l,l8l

·        Set the dates and times for the following committee meetings:

6:30 p.m. – Committee of the Whole

7:30 p.m. – Budget & Finance Committee, Education Committee, and Operations/Employee Relations/ECA

These meetings will be held at the Fairview Elementary School on the following dates:

·        Approved to contract with Employee Benefit Resources to provide a Section 125 Plan for support personnel effective January 1, 2004, at a cost of $500 for plan set-up and $3 per employee per month for administration

·        Approved the 45 day waiver request from the Fairview Advantage Charter School to postpone the initial board hearing to on or before February 12, 2004

·        President Eiben announced that an executive session was held prior to this special board meeting to discuss the potential response to Judge Cunningham’s decision on the Medicare Supplement Grievance
