BOARD BRIEFS
The Fairview Board of School Directors held its regular
public board meeting on December 19, 2005, and took action on the following
matters:

Accepted the minutes of the reorganization meeting held on 12/5/05
·
Approved the budgetary transfers as contained in the board packets
·
Approved the bills payable and payroll through December 16, 2005
·
Approved the treasurer’s report for November, 2005
·
Accepted retirement letters for Linda Meeker, FMS Principal’s
Secretary, and Marian Veith, Bus Driver
·
Recognized Mr. Paul
Bacik, who had a question
concerning the cafeteria
·
Approved the job descriptions for Nurse K-8, the Erie County
Vo-Tech Special Ed. Aide, and part-time special ed. aides at FMS, and expanded
the FMS aides’ hours from 3.5 to 4 hours per day for 186 days
·
Approved to purchase the FHS auditorium back stage curtain from
Rose Brand Co. at a cost of $4,830 with $3,030 to be paid by the High School
Drama Club and $1,800 from the Capital Projects Fund and shipping cost to be
paid from the Budgetary Reserve Account
·
Approved an additional floating coach to assist in the high school
swimming program due to the increased number of swimmers
·
Approved the LERTA application from Robert Macyko to construct a
6,600 sq. ft. building addition at 7321 Klier Drive East, ID No. 21-64-116-46.01
·
Approved the list of personnel matters as recommended and read by
the superintendent and as identified on the person lists with the
stipulation that the positions be filled only if the program or activity is to
be conducted as determined by board action
·
Approved the hire of David Muye as the Director of Facilities and
Grounds at a salary of $63,000 with fringe benefits provided in accordance with
the Administrative Compensation Plan. This salary will be pro-rated from an appropriate start date
of January 9, 2006, through June 30, 2006.
