Fairview School Board Briefs For August 16, 2004

BOARD BRIEFS

 

The Fairview Board of School Directors held its public meeting on August 16, 2004, and took action on the following matters:

 

§         Approved the minutes of the public board meetings held on 6/21/04, 7/19/04, and 8/2/04

 

§         Approved the bills payable and payroll through 8/16/04

 

§         Approved the  treasurer’s report for July, 2004

 

§         Approved the field trips for 2004/2005

 

§         Approved the building times for 2004/2005

 

§         Approved Policy 207 – Academic Integrity

 

§         Approved AP 217.4 – Graduation Requirement

 

§         Approved a la carte prices for 2004/2005

 

§         Approved two facility usage requests

 

§         Approved the district to pay 50% of the cost to conduct a survey to ascertain the changes necessary for the installation of an emergency generator at FHS.  The district will be willing to participate in the writing of a grant for any needed equipment as a result of the survey

 

§         Approved the elimination of the noon bus transportation for half-day kindergarten beginning with the 2004/2005 school year

 

§         Approved the list of district professional employees, salaries and locations for 2004/2005

 

§         Approved the job description for the position of secretary/attendance clerk at FHS

 

§         Approved the personnel matters

 

The next Committee of the Whole meeting will be held on September 13, at 6:30 p.m.,  at FES, with a special public board meeting for personnel matters and also the small committee meetings will be held that evening. 

 

The September regular public board meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. on September 20 at FES.

 

All back-up materials and policies are available for public viewing at the Central Administration Building. 

 

The public is welcome to attend all meetings.
