BOARD BRIEFS

The Fairview Board of School Directors held a special public meeting on

August 2, 2004, and took action on the following matters:

·        Awarded the bid for the district calendar to Peacock Press for 6,000 copies at a cost of $3,736.25 subject to the review of the quality of the printing and paper by the PR Committee.  The cost to the district is only $870 because of the sale of  advertisements.

·        Approved the Fairview Parks & Recreation Authority Fall 2004 Schedule

·        Approved transportation routes for 2004/2005

·        Approved the purchase of a 1997 International 72 passenger bus from Blue Bird Bus Sales of Pittsburgh at a cost of $21,000

·        Authorized the administration to advertise and accept bids for the sale of the 1988 GMC 72 passenger school bus

·        Approved the list of personnel matters which can be viewed at the Central Administration Office from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

·        Hired David Park as Assistant Principal at FHS
