Fairview School Board Briefs For January  26, 2004

BOARD BRIEFS

 

The Fairview Board of School Directors held its regular public meeting on

January 26, 2004, and took action on the following matters:

 

·        Accepted the minutes of the public board meeting held on meeting of 12/15/03

·         

·        Bills payable and payroll for December,  2003,  and January , 2004, were approved

 

·        Approved the Treasurer’s Report for December, 2003

 

·        Approved the list of personnel matters which can be viewed at the Central Administration Office from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

 

·        Approved for the district to participate in the Vo-Tech’s regional collaboration for career and technical education

 

·        Approved Policy 117 and Administrative Procedures 117.1 and 117.2 relative to homebound instruction

 

·        Approved to establish an after-school book club at Fairview Middle School, which will be self supporting

 

·        Approved to establish a format of “self support”  for an after school Exploratory and Recreational Program Proposal for the Fairview Middle School grades 5-8

 

·        Approved change orders H-1, G-4, E-2, and P-7, which are requests for an extension of the completion date to February 15, 2004, with Scobell Company, Inc., Eriez Construction, Inc., and Bay Harbour Electric for additions and alterations at Fairview High School with no change in costs

 

·        Approved the facility usage request from the West Erie County Kiwanis to hold their 26th annual track invitational on April 3, 2004, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with rental fee waived, but with custodial fees charged and they will furnish security

 

·        Approved to solicit quotes and purchase bulletin boards for the Fairview Middle School to display student work at a cost not to exceed $10,000 with funds to be used from the contingency fund
