BOARD BRIEFS
The Fairview Board of School Directors held
a public Board meeting on June 11, 2007, and took action on the
following matters:

Approved the list of personnel matters.
·
Approved the hire of D. Thad Urban as Fairview
Assistant Middle School Principal, at a salary of $62,000 for
the 2007/08 school year with fringe benefits provided in
accordance with the Administrative Compensation Plan.
This salary will be pro-rated to an appropriate start
date yet to be determined.
·
Approved the facility use request from the
Northwest Tri-County I. U. #5 and Jim Brown to use the
Fairview
Elementary School
4th grade pod June 25-29 and August 6-10, 2007 for
teacher computer classes with all fees waived.
·
Approved the purchase of computer servers and
related software at a cost not to exceed $23,000 to be paid from
the Capital Reserve Fund.
·
Approved the purchase of the following items
related to projectors for classrooms:
20-Hitachi CP-260 projectors from Centre Business
Products at a cost of $781.92 per unit; 20-Cable Sets and mounts
from Expert Computer at a combined cost of $141 per set, and
10–screens from Wespen at a cost of $116 each.
The total amount of $19,618.40 will be paid from the
technology lease.

Accepted the resignation of Board Member, Susan
Rosendahl, with regret, effective May 17, 2007.
