The Fairview Board of School Directors held its regular public board meeting on

October 22, 2001, at  which they took action on the following matters:

·                    Accepted the minutes of the public board meeting held on  9/24/01

·                    Approved the bills payable and payroll for  October, 2001

·                    Approved the Janitors’ Supply Invoice

·                    Approved the Treasurer’s Report for  September, 2001

·                    Approved the adjudication relative to a student disciplinary hearing

·                    Approved facility requests with rental and custodial fees waived

·                    Approved the Fairview Parks & Recreation Authority 2001/02 winter schedule

·                    Approved the list of personnel matters and substitute list

·                    Approved the hire of a full-time math teacher at FHS to reduce class sizes in the math classes

·                    Approved the board goals for 2001/2002

·                    Approved the Act 34 Resolution pertaining to the renovation projects at GMS & FHS

·                    As part of the Plancon process, Plancon Part B: Schematic Design was included as part of the official board minutes

·                    The following is a list of upcoming board meetings.  The public is invited to attend all board meetings.

·                    Monday, October 29, 7:30 p.m., FES – Committee of the Whole to review test results and a block schedule review

·                    Monday, November 5, 7:00 p.m., FES – Committee of the Whole to review district staffing needs

·                    Monday, November 12, 6:30 p.m., FES – Committee of the Whole followed by small committee meetings

·                    Monday, November 19, 6:00 p.m., Garwood Middle School Auditorium – public hearing on the renovation project at GMS & FHS

·                    Monday, November 19, 7:30 p.m., FES, public board meeting
