The Fairview Board of School Directors held
its regular public board meeting on
November 19, 2001, at
which they took action on the following matters:

Accepted the minutes of the public board meeting
held on 10/22/01
·
Approved the bills payable and payroll for
November, 2001
·
Approved the Janitors’ Supply Invoice
·
Approved the Budgetary Transfers
·
Approved the
Local Auditor’s Report for 2000/01
·
Approved the
information on the district to be published in the Erie County
Historical Society’s publication at a cost of $3,600
·
Approved to purchase the COIN guidance software at
$900 and the SAT Prep program software at a cost of $600
·
Approved the I.U. policy revisions
·
Approved the transfer of funds received in the
carpet settlement with Austin Co. for the FES carpet in the
amount of $35,000
·
Approved to have Mainline Mechanical Contractors
replace the water softener at the high school for $4,800
·
Approved to lease a Richo copier for the C.A.B.
and one for the FES at a cost of $l73.05 per month with both
leases to run for 60 months
·
Approved the LERTA application submitted by
Execumold, Inc.
·
Approved to award the bids for the sale of used
furniture and equipment
·
Approved the field trip request for the girls’
softball team to go to Las Vegas during spring break with coach
and district employee female chaperone expenses to be paid by
district and the students to pay for their own expenses
·
Accepted the resignation letter of board member
Jim Schaffner
·
Approved the hire of Larry Kessler as
superintendent for a five-year term effective upon his release
from the General McLane School District through June n30, 2006,
at an initial annual salary of $97,500 adjusted to his starting
date and all benefits as per the Act 93 Agreement
·
Approved the list of personnel matters as listed
in the board packet (material available for viewing at the
Central Admin. Bldg.)
