Historical Society

The Fairview Area Historical Society was formed following the nation's bicentennial. Its purpose is to gather and preserve the history of the Fairview area. In 1979, in accordance with its purpose, the Society purchased one of the most historically significant homes in the community, the Robert Sturgeon house, for use as a house museum, depository and meeting place. Since 1998, the Society has hosted a growing genealogical file and offers computer access to these records on site or by mail and e-mail requests.
