Grading Scale
Your student will be assessed in many different ways throughout the year to check on their progress.
In Kindergarten, we use an assessment key consisting of:
B: Beginning – needs time to practice, relies on support, needs encouragement to try
P: Progressing – beginning to understand concepts, practicing and improving, willing to try and participate
A: Achieved – regularly applies concepts, self – directed, demonstrated strength
** Please note that our assessments are based towards achieving the end of the year kindergarten goals. We recognize that each child is unique; therefore there will be individual variations in the pattern of growth and development.
Supply List
The school district has asked the teachers to send a list of supplies that your child needs to have in school. These supplies will be donated to your child’s classroom for use during the school year. Here are the supplies: (You are not required to bring in every item. Your child’s teacher will supply you with a supply list.) These will be combined into “class” materials.
