The Erie Experiences courses recently took a unique field trip to Presque Isle, split into three parts. The first leg of the tour was led by Brian Gorman, an Operations Executive for Waldameer. Brian gave the students a behind the scenes tour of the amusement park and waterpark focusing on the history and the evolution of the park throughout the years. The second part of the tour took us to Misery Bay and Graveyard Pond at the foot of Presque Isle. Park Rangers from PI spoke about the historic significance of the area to the War of 1812 and the unique ecology we have at Presque Isle State Park. The final stop included a delicious lunch at Sara's.
