5th grade students worked hard to Escape the Scary Witch's House by using their mastered multiplication skills! The students worked together to solve three challenging puzzles, and I am happy to report that every group escaped safely!!
Our sock drive officially began today. We have well over 300 pairs donated already. Help us reach our goal of 2000 pairs.
Mrs. Carrara's ELA classes started the year off right! Students were challenged to choose one word as a motivator to have a great school year. #OneWordProject

We recently learned that our friends at Emmaus Soup Kitchen have a critical need for Men's Winter Socks. This is an opportunity for our Fairview Family to rise up and help our neighbors in need. Our goal is to provide this amazing organization with 2000 pairs of socks this month. Our Americorps volunteers will be organizing a sock drive next week. Suicide Prevention and Awareness
Wednesday, September 21st

Fairview Middle School Auditorium
In this workshop, we will describe the risks and indications that a person may be in mental health crisis, including a crisis of suicide. We will discuss how to ask about suicide, support the person in getting help, and describe resources for assistance. Special discussion will be held for how to help youth, including from a parent’s perspective.
Childcare will be available at FMS for interested families.
Students in 8th grade ELA are beginning a novel study of the classic text, The Outsiders. To provide background for the text, students worked collaboratively in a Digital Escape Room!
Summer Library was a great success this year! Dozens of students joined us, and the students pictured here all read 5 or more books this summer (with some reading 25 or more!). Thank you to all our participants!

iPAD ROLLOUT is almost here:
TOMORROW, August 18th will be our iPad Rollout event for the Fairview School District at Fairview Middle School for ALL schools. The $20 iPad insurance can be paid at pick up by cash, check, or credit/debit card. Pick-up times will be between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. In an effort to alleviate the congestion for 1800 students, we ask families to try and adhere to the following time frames, if possible.
Last names starting with letters:
A thru H try and come to the middle school from 7:00 am thru 11:00 am
I thru Q try and come to the middle school from 11:00 am thru 3:00 pm
R thru Z try and come to the middle school from 3:00 pm thru 7:00 pm\
If you need to come during a different time frame, that is OK. We are trying to avoid a large backlog of people at the same time. Thank you for your cooperation.
IMPORTANT REMINDER before iPad Pick-Up The Returning Student Verification form must be completed online before the iPad or FES Packet can be picked up. Please use the unique snapcode for each child that you were emailed after following this link:

Fairview Youth football camp had a special visitor this year when NFL Superstar James Conner stopped by to great the young athletes. What an exciting visit!
Fairview STEM summer camp students are having a blast designing, engineering, and coding innovative solutions to complex problems. The students apply the principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to build their own contraptions, 3D print ideas, and program microprocessors.
Work on the FHS renovation continues to go as scheduled. The anticipated completion date in July, 2023.
