Third-grade students participated in racing MAGLEV vehicles. The students designed the sails for their racers and competed to find the fastest racer for their unit about force and magnetism in Science Class. So many creative students we have!

Could our little Easter bunnies BE any cuter?

Our kindergarten classes had a chance to go to Asbury Woods before Spring Break. Students got to see animals and learn about seeds and seed sorting. They also got a chance to walk the grounds and learn about the trees that are native to our area.

On the last day of school before Spring Break, Mr. Quiggle held his famous Bunny Hop. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn't get the memo, so the Bunny Hop had to be inside. As you can see, the students just loved being able to hop around the gym with all the special teachers and we even had 2 very colorful Peeps show up!

Our gifted students wanted to show appreciation to all the teachers and staff so they created a hot chocolate and coffee bar. Their offers included hot chocolate with all the fixings, cookies, donuts, and other yummy treats! What a great and creative way to give back to the school, especially when spring hasn't sprung yet!

The first graders are finishing up their unit on Earth's Surface in Science. They did a soil investigation after learning about the importance of soil on Earth. Did they find anything good, like worms or gold?

We had such a great time at our Beach Pizza Bingo event hosted by our wonderful PTO. It was a sold-out event! The food was delicious, and the prizes were plentiful. Thank you to the FES PTO for putting on such an amazing event where the parents and students in our community have such a wonderful time.

FES students had the chance to have some out-of-school fun at Lakers and Lakettes! What a great way to work on their coordination, balance, and strength, and to have a little fun along the way.

As 3rd grade wrapped up a Science unit on forces, motion, and simple machines, students had the opportunity to build a catapult. Students worked to fine-tune their design to make a day for some high marshmallow flying fun!

Brothers, Gianni and Donnie Mastrostefano visited the School Board meeting to discuss the upcoming Walk for Autism and the importance of supporting Team Fairview. See the attached link for more details.

Our wonderful SRO, Officer Stevick, has been talking to some of our younger student about the proper and safe way to cross the street. As you can see, he has quite the captive audience!

On Tuesday, it was World Down Syndrome Day! In honor of our very special students, we all wore crazy socks! We love you Miss Lena!

Fairview Elementary do not need any luck! We are as lucky as can be with the wonderful student we have here! Our students are definitely the cutest leprechaun's around...but we maybe a little biased!

First grade bringing a little sunshine and smiles to the Art room hallway!

Our 4th graders, in ELA, got to create their very own mythical Greek God/Goddess! To say that 4th graders have quite the imagination is an understatement! They did a great job writing their stories out and drawing what they believe their Greek God/Goddess would look like!

Kindergarten got a chance to use their imagination and create what they believe a leprechaun would look like! They are all so very handsome! The students also got to learn some of their sight words via the 'ol leprechaun himself! Holidays at Fairview Elementary are always so much fun!

Miss Eichner’s class has begun inviting in their “Mystery Readers”! They have loved having family members come into the classroom to read a story. The kids get clues supplied by their parents and they have to try and guess who it might be! We think the parents have more fun with it than the students!

1st graders created their own "therapeutic puppy artwork" . We talked about textures, feelings, and the process of creating an artwork, such as molding clay and how art can be therapy. We discussed the therapy dogs and what their purpose is. What a fun lesson!
The kids have really enjoyed it and they have done so good with the dogs! Now Ms. Lybrook wishes she had a dog in the art room all the time!

As part of our Read-A-Thon, the PTO had therapy dogs come in from Alliance of Therapy Dogs. During their Library special, student had the chance to read to the dogs. Needless to say, it was very well received by everyone alike...students, teachers, dogs, but definitely not more than the office secretaries!
