LIMITED CONTACT VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTIONS

FAIRVIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT

A LIMITED CONTACT VOLUNTEER is defined as a volunteer who is always within proximity of a district professional employee and there is no time in which the volunteer has the potential to be alone with a student or students. Volunteers considered limited contact include, but are not limited to, classroom helpers, party helpers, party coordinators, library/office helpers, classroom field trip chaperones and PTO/PTA.

Per Pennsylvania State Law, clearances must be submitted before volunteering within a school district. Limited Contact Volunteer clearances are valid for five (5) years from the date on the clearance and may be submitted at any point during those five years. Clearances obtained previously for other volunteer/employment purposes will be accepted.

 Please be advised it can take up to 2-3 weeks to receive results for all clearances.
